Visualising the invisible
While I have been using picture cards in my teaching and workshops for a long time (inspired by my doctoral supervisor Dr Angela Dumas and a London-based company called ‘Blue Goose’), I have now my owns set of cards, particularly chosen for the context of innovation.
These cards allow the exploration of many things, for example a company’s culture for innovation, someone’s leadership style, or prejudices of one group over another, in a fun and engaging way. They facilitate honesty and openness to listen at the same time, as they are ‘externalising‘ the issues, and provoke humour, the latter of which means that we are able to keep an open mind and listen to what is being said. By the way, they can be yours too :-) (well, at a price, get in touch if you are interested!).
